“[Nick]'s honest, has a great work ethic and will be his own man,” we wrote of him [in 2008]. We still believe that.

Sustainable Solutions

Last Friday, I attended a benefit auction for Community Warehouse, one of my favorite non- profits. They provide basic household necessities to those in need.

Last year, they served 10,000 families, roughly 200 a week. They are the fourth largest furniture bank in the country.
Congratulations to Executive Director Kristy Wood, founder Roz Babener and the board for their great work.

In two months, County Chair Jeff Cogen and I will be hosting “Reuse Week” for the second straight year. Our goal is to shine a light on all the non-profits in our community who are focused on reuse and recycle.

They make Portland a better place.

You can help by making a donation, volunteering your time, or making tax-deductible contribution of property.

The Home Stretch

The May primary is just around the corner, and in about three weeks—ballots will arrive in your mailbox.

We have the clear momentum in this race:
Endorsements from trusted leaders like Governor Barbara Roberts, Senator Ron Wyden, County Chair Jeff Cogen, City Commissioner Amanda Fritz, State Treasurer Ted Wheeler, Representative Tina Kotek, and many more.

Respected organizations like Stand for Children, Oregon State Council for Retired Citizens and Oregon League of Conservation Voters have also stepped up and shown their support.

I have a great campaign team headed by Natalie Sept and Lou Savage.

And, of course our most important resource…you!

Down the stretch, we encourage you to:
